Summer Thesis/Dissertation Boot Camp – Registration Now Open
The Boot Camp provides a quiet, supportive environment twice a year for students writing a master’s thesis or doctoral dissertation. The next Camp will be held May 15-26, 2017.
The Camp will be held in one of the central campus dorms and the W. T. Young Library Thomas Clark Reading Room. Participants are expected to commit to writing from 8:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. each day and are encouraged to work into the afternoon and/or evening. Participants will have access to an individual dorm space for writing as well as a common work space in the W. T. Young Library. Writers will have access to a microwave and refrigerator. Coffee, breakfast items, and snacks will be provided during the two weeks, along with a cookout at Camp’s end.
The registration fee for participating in the summer Boot Camp is $40* (payable on the first day – we can only accept checks or money order made payable to the UK Graduate School). The registration fee helps subsidize costs associated with the Camp facilities, food, and programming.
